Blog 138 : Ego destroys Beautiful Relationships
Ego : The Silent Killer of Beautiful Relationships
It’s not money, not distance, not even misunderstandings, Most relationships don’t break because of big reasons,They break because of Ego.
You know that moment when you want to call someone, but you don’t?
Not because you don’t care, but because you feel "Why should i call first?"
That’s ego.
I have seen this happen everywhere.
Between friends who stopped talking over something small.
Between family members who haven’t spoken for years.
Even between strangers, just a small situation turning into something bigger than it should be.
And when you look back, the reason feels so unnecessary.
The funny thing about ego is, it feels like self-respect.
But it’s not.
Self-respect is quiet.
Ego is loud.
Self-respect says, " I deserve better."
Ego says, "I won't bend, no matter what."
And slowly, without realizing, ego starts winning over people.
Sometimes we don’t say sorry, even when we know we’re wrong.
Sometimes we don’t forgive, even when we want to.
Sometimes we stay silent, just to “prove a point.”
But what are we really proving?
At the end of the day, we lose the person, just to protect a version of ourselves that doesn’t even matter.
I’m not saying we should tolerate disrespect or lose our dignity.
But not every situation is about winning.
Some are about understanding.
Some are about letting go.
Some are simply about choosing the person over the argument.
The truth is, relationships don’t need perfection.
They just need a little softness. A little Patience. And sometimes, just one person willing to drop the ego.
Because in the long run, No one remembers who was right. But everyone remembers who stayed.
Just a thought I didn’t want to ignore.
